Hi!

as LTE is just around the corner, may I ask if the galaxy note 2 sold by maxis is LTE capable? the specifications at maxis website states LTE though.

Thanks!

It definitely doesn't support LTE. The model that is officially sold in Malaysia market is GT-N7100 which doesn't have LTE. You can read more on different variants of Note 2 models here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Note_II

Samsung usually have many different models to cater for requirements by different regions. In our case, The GT-N7100 is the most suitable since we dont have LTE.

When we have LTE in future, they will probably stop selling GT-N7100 and start selling GT-N7105 (with LTE) in Malaysia

Ya. I realise that. But maxis's website specification say:
HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps; LTE, Cat3, 50 Mbps UL,
100 Mbps DL

I am a Galaxy Note 2 user. The model I have is N7100 and does not come with LTE. From what I know in Singapore the model is N7105 with LTE. Both of them having them same chipset. Maybe Samsung can help when LTE commercialize software upgrade can give us LTE service, but I doubt that.

sw.yin

i don;t think they offer NOTE II-LTE enable for what you've signed-up earlier.

Just like you;ve got a BMW car earlier and after one month they come out a face lift with super fuel saving (say the car can travel 10 liter / 200km)
Do you think the dealer will change for you...?

don;t get offended..it's just my view only.

cheers,
