Hi,
I just terminated my home broadband at Danga Nay on 2 Mar 2013. Before i went down to the service center i did proceed to Johor Bukit Indah Aeon Maxis (MEP) outlet to get the advice. I asked the cust servgice officer: "if i terminate my plan if there any penalty or early termination charges?"
The officer asked me when i was sign up the plan and the reason of termination. I told him i had signed up the plan ard mid of Dec2012 and my family member always claimed they are unable to suft net. After 2 months of trying, i decided to feedback to Maxis. Replied from Maxis, the coverage at Setia Eco Garden have no issue, we suppose able to surf net anytime. I said the broadband LED always in RED colour.. Is that mean there is no reception. The Maxis Operator then ask me to reset and restart the broadband. Too bad... tried tried tried... i felt very tired and i found useless. Finally i decided seek advice from Cust Service at Aeon, Bukit Indah. They said they cant do anything as they are not technician. I found i unable to continue using Maxis Home Broadband Service anymore. I decied to terminate the service. As what i brief on top, no additional charges subjected that i must return all equipment in good condition in the nearest Maxis Service Center.
To makesure theAeon cust service officer is true, again, i asked the cust service at the time i terminate the service at Danga Bay. The Officer said Maxis will send me the invoice with the pro-rated bill but not with early termination charges. Besides, i also clear all outstanding bill $257.00 at the time of termination.
On 13 Mar 2013, i received a bill from Maxis, charged me RM300.00 on early termination charges! Here, i wish Maxis can explain to me whats going on? Is that mean, next time we cant seek advice from the MEP customer service or have to get the black and white statement printed on Maxis official letter head from them to proof what they aever told.

I felt dissappointed because Maxis not always update and follow up on their setup forum.
